What I Do

Engineer

I'm currently a mechanical engineer and technologist at the Aurelia Institute, a non-profit research organization devoted to building the next generation of space vehicles and habitats, and prior to that spent 7 years working at NASA where I contributed to various technology and flight projects.

Educate

I enjoy sharing the thrill of space exploration with the public and whether it be through public talks, amateur astronomy, or occasional essays and other written works.

Volunteer

I'm a community organizer with the Pasadena Repair Cafe, an all-volunteer group dedicated to reducing waste through fixing broken things and promoting the reduce-reuse-recycle philosophy.

Explore

I spend my free time exploring the diverse wilderness of southern California. You might run into me hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains or scuba diving off the coast of Catalina.
